Ethra language

Moral and relational distinctions made speakable.

Ethra is the constructed language layer of Ethosism. It makes duty, scope, repair, memory, address, and binding speech grammatically visible instead of leaving them implied.

Quick examples

Ke rah na.

See me.

Na vel dev se.

I choose this duty.

Na mor dev se.

I inherited this duty.

Sound and writing

Romanized, one symbol per sound, no silent letters, five vowels, twenty consonants, and simple CV/CVC syllables.

Sentence order

Mostly analytic SVO. Particles carry tense, aspect, mood, scope, register, and moral agency.

Moral agency

Ethra distinguishes capacity, permission, desire, choice, duty, debt, vow, inheritance, entrustment, and repair.

Relational speech

Pronouns and registers make beloved, equal, elder, child, citizen, opponent, sacred address, and collective people visible.
